A 35-year-old female passenger, by the name Jatau Lami Lydia has been apprehended by the agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for drug trafficking. The mother of three has blamed her action on the bandits who kidnapped her mother, saying that all she wanted to do, was to raise N5m ransom to pay the said ‘’bandits’’.

was arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport,
Lagos, for attempting to export 1,700 tablets of Tramadol 225mg concealed
in her luggage to Istanbul, Turkey, on the 31st of July 2022,via a
Turkish Airline Flight,
The
said
suspect hails from Zango Kataf LGA of Kaduna State and it is said that she lives in Istanbul, Turkey with her family.
NDLEA
spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Sunday, August 7, said the
suspect blamed her action on pressure to raise N5million ransom to free her
mother from the captivity of bandits who kidnapped her since June 2022.
